The Importance of Organization:
In most cases entrepreneurs are passionate about their products, brands, ideas and goals but may not necessarily be business savvy. The lack of knowledge as it pertains to business is why most entrepreneurs do not see their dreams come to fruition or do not achieve the level of success they have anticipated. Something as simple as great organizational skills could mean the difference between missing the mark and surpassing set goals. In the long run organizational skills could save small businesses money through the avenues of reduced overhead and/or reduced third-party fees.
Most small business owners play a very active role in the success of their business, by being involved in the daily operations in some aspect. Due to this aspect some "small things" become neglected such as organizing important documents, receipts, payments, etc. The more disorganized the business the more time and effort must be placed into getting the business “back on track”. The same can be said for third party consultants; if your accountant/business manager has to devote extra time to documenting your daily operations then this extra time will be reflected in the form of a fee.
